Understanding the zeroG® Basics
In March 2008, Equipois introduced its revolutionary anti-gravity technologies to primary commercial markets as a tool to fight the effects of gravity when it comes to heavy lifting within the workplace. The U.S. Department of Labor and Statistics estimates that this growing problem is now costing U.S. businesses over $200 billion per year.
Using our proprietary spring and cam based technology – without the need for electricity or pneumatics to aid in lift– the zeroG® System readily holds your heavy workplace tools, parts and payloads so that your workers are free to perform job tasks without risks for injury. Using zeroG®, productivity and quality can be increased. Related overhead costs can be slashed.
The Equipois’ zeroG® System is comprised of three key, patented components:
- zeroG® Arm – the core lifting element, the zeroG® arm follows the human arm in form and function, serving as the main lifting component through its powerful spring design. Easily adjustable lift control provides the freedom to select the amount of lift required to assist workers and guarantee their safety.
- zeroG® Gimbal: Equipois gimbals are functional works of art that follow the form of the human hand with remarkable fluidity and range of motion. Gimbals allow for the grasping or gripping of your workplace tools and payloads and provide the key interface to the zeroG® Arm.
- zeroG® Mount: key to each customer’s installation is the ability of the zeroG® System to effectively install or mount to a required working environment. zeroG® Mounts follow the form of the human shoulder, providing a key attachment and interface point allow for horizontal and vertical adjustments while accommodating customer workplace needs: attached to a slide mechanism, mounted to a fixed post, used on rolling stand, from overhead or below, zeroG® Systems are tailorable to an almost unlimited number of installation possibilities.
